Redland Bay Roof Trusses was established in July, 1988 by Alec & his wife Glenda. Alec, with a Bachelor of Civil Engineering, began his career in the prefabricated timber manufacturing industry at Wilkinson Timber Industries back in 1979 for 9yrs, before deciding to venture out on his own.

Cricket lovers may recognise Alec as a former player for Queensland in the Sheffield Shield competition.

Over the past 22yrs, Alec, has grown his company from 5 staff at a small factory in Merrit Street Capalaba to 45 staff operating out of a new premises at Jardine Drive Redland Bay.

Alec’s motto is Quality, Service & Reliability through determination, a “hands on” approach and sheer hard work, he has made Redland Bay Roof Trusses the successful company it is today.

Bob joined the team at Redland Bay Roof Trusses as Manager in March 2006.Bob brings with him 33yrs experience in the building materials and timber supply industry. Bob and Alec worked together at Wilkinson’s during the early 1980’s. Bob left Wilkinson’s to take on the technical sales roll at Kauri Timber (Tasbeam) in 1986; a position he held for 11years.

In 1997 Bob moved to Hyne timber where he established and managed the Hyne I-Beam facility for 8years, moving to manage Tasbeam after the Hyne takeover, before resigning to join RBRT and Manage Alec’s business.


                 Bob also has a strong belief in the business motto  “Quality, Service & Reliability”.
